Ninja Fight

Okay so I know that im supposed to show my progress but i got so excited about this new piece that I kind of forgot to show an early version of this shot.  I think this one is pretty much done but it is going to be a part of a 4 part fight scene that i want to do.  Each part is going to be roughly 4 seconds each and will all be part of these two Ninjas fighting.  My thinking is that i need to work on getting faster at both blocking and finalizing so if I give my self smaller portions of the same length hopefully I will see an improvement in my timing and ultimately will have a badass fight seen when its all done.  I will try to have the blocking for the next shot done by tomorrow or Saturday.  But for now let me know your thoughts on this one.

Final Dino Attack

Well here is the final Dino animation that i worked on.  I had a ton of fun working on this piece because lets be honest I got to animate a dinosaur chasing and eating someone!  I know that i had originally intended to add arms to the camera to make it look like there was a human there, but in the end i felt that it already looked great like this and i didnt want to take away from the main part of the anim which of course is the dino.  Hope you guys like it!

Dino Attack

Hey guys so I think between me learning this dino rig and me being sick all weekend, this anim may take a little longer than originally expected however here is my first pass at what i plan on doing with it.  I wanted to get  his walk cycle down first before i tried doing an actual anim and while it still needs tweaking, i think once this is finished it will be a pretty sweet piece.  Eventually Ill have some human hands in front of the camera to give the idea of it being first person but for now just imagine it.  Let me know what you guys think!

Final Boulder Toss

So here is pretty much the final piece for this little ninja character I have been working on.  I had a real difficult time with trying to keep his hands looking like he were gripping the boulder.  They just kept slipping so i had to try a few new techniques to get it to work.  I think this would have been one of those times that having an FK rig would have been better so next time I try something like this I need to make sure to do both rigs and save myself some heartache.  Anyways I may do a little bit more tweaking on it but for the most part im done.  Next up on my list is either Dino anim or learn to use Motion Builder.  Can't wait!

Boulder Toss First Pass

Hey so here is the start of this new animation that I started on Friday.  I decided to get back to working on the ninja but i felt like this one would be a better portfolio piece than the one I had originally started on.  Still not sure if the ending is playing the way I had envisioned it and I feel like its missing something.  Let me know what you guys think bc Id like to have some nice comedic timing on my reel.

Final Demon Animation

Hey guys here is the final clip for the demon animation with wings and all.  It was my first go at animating wings and was a bit tricky, but i'm happy with the way it turned out.  If anyone has any extra thoughts on it feel free to share.  Hope you like it.

Demon Anim

Hey so once again im off to a rocky start with this blogging thing but luckily im getting back on track now that im all set and ready to move.  So I told myself before the move that I would try to get as many characters rigged and shot ready so that as soon as I made it out there I could start animating.  Which naturally meant that as soon as i finished rigging this demon, I had to start animating him.  So im taking a break from the ninja for just as few days to focus on this guy.  I like it so far, but the next big challenge i need to tackle are  the wings.   Ive only been working on this for a few days here and there so let me know what you guys think.  Hoping to have the wings done and the piece finished by the end of this week.
